As said before, I need the exercise. So when a charity step challenge was mentioned at work I figured..... sure, why not? But holistically I think it's gonna be a fail for me. But prove me wrong; here's a link to Starlight Super Steps
So why the negativity? Well mostly 'cos charity really isn't my thing. I see these organisations that run these big events, and all I can think of is the wasted overheads. Not just people either, but advertising, and also the whole running of charity events rather than just getting the money. While not everyone, there are people that get paid to manage these groups. (Beyond the services they offer.) I'm a bit of a socialist I suppose. I'd rather the government decide what's needy or not.... even if it involved a public opinion poll. This is a rant in itself so I'll leave this here, but in short, since I don't really agree with charity organisations I don't really like asking for donations... so in the end I've made a donation myself so I'm not embarrassed by having zero donations. Sigh.
Not only this it's more work than I expected. Garmin syncing was promised so I thought yay! All I gotta do is walk. But no. It only logs activities that are walks. Not steps throughout the day. Meh. So since I do more non logged walking most of the time I need to log the difference. Sigh.
Charity is not really my thing.
